Don’t you just wish you had time to hang out with other Moms, especially ones that are so incredibly cool that they have a book launch?  We are all so stinkin’ busy that those opportunities are few around here with normal life, not to mention the college-bound school workload, so we’re having an online chat here, just for you.

The joys. The struggles.  The unlimited educational opportunities.  Not enough hours in the day.

What if a friend not only understands your passion for learning because she is a homeschooling Mama herself but also writes books whose main characters are incredibly interesting folks that just happen to be well-balanced, homeschooled kids {not stereotypical, tree-hugging hippies that some people still envision when you say homeschooler}?

Let me re-introduce you to my online friend, Amy C. Blake that I wrote about several months ago with an in-depth interview  when her debut book, Whitewashed: On the Brink Series Book 1, hit the shelves.  As you probably know, I can be a bit of a tough critic when it comes to books-especially fiction.  It has to be extremely interesting in order to hold this girl’s attention and meet my high standards. Like you, I hold my time sacred and…..
Ain’t nobody got time for bad literature.  Amazing, interesting, unpredictable, appropriate, thought-provoking Literature?  Yes, please.

Whitewashed really hit the mark by keeping me guessing what the main characters would do next.  I also enjoyed reading this book knowing that the Author was a God-fearing, Preacher’s wife who could spin an amazing story without the unnecessary use of crude language and scenes.

The New Book & Giveaways

Well, Amy is back at it with her second novel, The Trojan Horse Traitor, which is a young adult fantasy novel about 13-year-old homeschooler Levi Prince and his adventures in Terracaelum (Book 1 of the Levi Prince series).  Honestly these days, this is not a genre I typically read anymore now that I’m, ahem, older but I’m willing to take a chance and dive in because I loved Amy’s writing style on her first novel.

I just bought my own E-book version of The Trojan Horse Traitor today and I’m counting the hours until I can snuggle in bed tonight and start reading.  I will be giving you a full review of the new book in the coming days and Amy has agreed to award the winner of my giveaway at that time with an E-book version!

{If you don’t have an e-reader, never fear-there’s an app for that.  I’ll tell you how to read the book from your phone, laptop, or desktop computer}.

I just couldn’t wait to tell you about Amy’s new book so we can celebrate and support the launch of it with her right away.  Will you do me a favor, and share-share- share her with your friends on social media to get the word out as homeschool Moms unite.  While you wait on my review and giveaway, you still have time to enter the Goodreads giveaway now through December 14, 2015 where Amy is giving away two copies of her new book.

If you need me later today, #sorrynotsorry, but my nose will be stuck in my kindle.
