DIY Christmas Gifts!
You’ve got a few last minute gifts to decide on and you’re thinking of DIY Christmas gifts because either you want some thoughtful, old fashioned Christmas presents or you’ve just flat ran out of money! BUT, we all have that fear of giving handmade Christmas crafts that look lame and made by a second grader. Trust me when I say I’ve got some sweet and simple handmade gifts that our friends and family will seriously love …..
Last minute DIY Christmas gifts
Here’s my thinking: I’m going to finish up my last minute Christmas gift saga by either making a few handmade ornaments and/or making some Christmas food gifts. Don’t be intimidated by either of these ideas – you know if it ain’t easy, I ain’t doing it, honey! Let’s get to work, shall we?
By the way, don’t forget to print out the free, Christmas shopping printable to help you get all the gifts you already have or need to make organized!
Christmas food gifts
I’m starting with food, because, I mean, YUM! Don’t forget that we need to sample a bite of each of these treats just to make sure that they taste OK, right?
Christmas 5-Minute Fudge comes to mind first because it is so incredibly good but only takes five minutes. Homemade fudge is one of those things that everyone loves but most are too intimidated to make it.
What’s awesome for you though is that this fudge appears to be harder than it looks so you will look like a superstar. Let it cool and put in pretty Christmas boxes (these are so cheap) or cello bags with a beautiful bow (and maybe even a handmade ornament) and you are set, honey!
Christmas Pecan Pie is a great choice because it’s another universally-loved goodie that most people have yet to conquer. Again, my southern pecan pie recipe is very simple, I promise.
Last but not least, if you have someone who would love a Christmas food gift but is super healthy, then this blogger gal has great ideas on no guilt healthier homemade foods.
Homemade Christmas ornaments
I’m slightly craft-challenged so homemade Christmas ornaments and Christmas crafts must be simple! LOL I already had some cheap Epsom salts, clear glass ornaments, and Mod podge on hand that I had from a previous craft, so I’m set. Here are the DIY Christmas gifts that I’m making and thought you might want to also!
Ornament #3 and #6 are my favorite ornaments over at Kristin’s post about ten handmade ornaments in under an hour. On both, I want to also add a large, monogram letter on the outside to personalize it. Yay! Below are my favorite two clear, glass ornament shapes to work with:
Brown Sugar Scrub is a luxurious beauty treat that my girl and I are obsessed with. I have a recipe and video for the simplest recipe that doesn’t need any other ‘scent’ added. It smells scrumptious! I will add the sugar scrub to these adorable small jars with a chalkboard label and beautiful ribbon. They will love us forever!
That’s all folks! I hope these ideas for fabulous homemade Christmas gifts was helpful. Now it’s time for me to quit yappin’ and get to work. How about you?
Which last minute DIY Christmas gifts will you be making with me?
