I know what you’re probably thinking —

Simple Green Smoothies?  No matter how simple they are, nothing green like that is touching these lips!”

And I understand.

I was where you are not too long ago but something happened to me and there was no turning back

I was hooked!

When we were struggling to eat healthier, I realized that I wasn’t getting enough vegetables {especially green} in my daily diet.  Hard as I tried, I couldn’t fall in love with salads, lettuce, spinach, or anything similar, I just couldn’t.  Bleech!  Back then {before we discovered the simple way to get healthy},  I couldn’t digest anything remotely close to leafy greens or the like.

There are only so many green vegetables so how was I to get in enough?  I kept reading about how many vitamins and nutrients you could cram into this one glass of green stuff.

Gulp!

I remember thinking, “If I don’t enjoy chewing salad, how in the world would I drink it?”  Promises were made by many that it wouldn’t taste as bad as it looks and you know what?

They were right!

Guess what else?  My tummy healed thanks to the cleansing and eating plan we discovered but I had already fallen in love with these simple green smoothies concoctions!  Amazing, simply amazing.

So on this beautiful Wellness Wednesday, I’m going to share with you how to add them to your life easily and why in the world you should.

Why You should add Simple Green Smoothies

We all know that eating a variety of fruits and vegetables is paramount to our health but actually getting it done each and every day can be daunting.  Here are a few reasons why YOU and your family should start adding this to your weekly rotation of food.

  • They are so sweet and yummy-you and the kiddos won’t know it’s super-healthy {give them a cute straw or something}
  • These babies are filled with Pure Nutrition with a huge variety of vitamins and nutrients depending on which fruits – veggies or greens you choose
  • They can really add some fun and variety in making sure you get all of those healthy food groups in
  • They’re quick, easy & cheap!  We’re talking mere pocket change to make at home
  • You get extra water, fiber, and energy with every glass
  • They are rawsome

Even Starbucks is even dipping their toes into selling kale smoothies.  {not that Starbucks is our go-to for nutrition but even they are taking notice}.

I call my recipe, simple green smoothies, because you only need three ingredients to get started.  {water, green, fruit}

By the way, with my recipe they are gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian and all that jazz.  When you start adding the extras is when you have to really make sure it’s necessary and good for what your body needs.

I made a quick tutorial to show you, Mama, how quick, easy, & cheap these simple green smoothies really are:

      Hey, if you enjoy “eating” your salad you could just throw in a smoothie every now and then to mix it up. #healthylife
