So I’ve made it through two whole days of our Week #1 Challenge of a certain amount of fruit, veggies, and water into my day while vowing not to eat a couple specific foods too.
How about you? It’s not too late to get started, ya know.
It’s really about being intentional and planning ahead. And thinking twice when you are tempted, and believe me, it will happen.
Seriously, today is the first time in over nine months that we have had any Captain John Derst butter bread on my counter top. Yes, that was my favorite bread and I would just eat plain slices at whim.
Yeah, today the hubs pulls some out of the freezer {my pa-in-love gave to us months ago} and thaws it on the counter.
Really?!
What’s amazing though is that by instinct, I almost was tempted. Then I thought about how bad I would feel afterwards and the urge went away.
I meditated on our scripture for the week {did you?} and I listened to that video for reinforcement several times, I must admit.
Awesome, it was that simple.
Just for kicks, here’s are my food choices today:
Pre-breakfast Vitamin Drink
Breakfast: Chocolate Mocha Protein Shake
Mid-Morning Snack: Apple and Natural Peanut butter
Lunch: Leftover Homemade Chicken Pot Pie
Mid-Afternoon snack: orange and big handful of unsalted cashews
Dinner: Homemade spaghetti sauce on whole grain pasta
Let me know in the comments how you did working in the fruit, veggies, and water.
