Hallelujah ~
Can you easily divert your eyes from any sorrow that may be on your heart during this holiday season, and focus on the joy that Christmas brings? My purpose here is to uplift and encourage, so I pray that this comforts you and inspires you to find your joy in the midst of sadness. Hallelujah!
I’ve heard about this baby boy
Who’s come to earth to bring us joy
And I just want to sing this song to you
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
With every breath, I’m singing
Hallelujah
A couple came to Bethlehem
Expecting child, they searched the inn
To find a place for You were coming soon
There was no room for them to stay
So in a manger filled with hay
God’s only Son was born,
Hallelujah
The shepherds left their flocks by night
To see this baby wrapped in light
A host of angels led them all to You
It was just as the angels said
You’ll find Him in a manger bed
Immanuel and Savior,
Hallelujah
A star shown bright up in the east
To Bethlehem, the wise men three
Came many miles and journeyed long for You
And to the place at which You were
Their frankincense and gold and myrrh
They gave to You and cried out
Hallelujah
I know You came to rescue me
This baby boy would grow to be
A man and one day die for me and you
My sins would drive the nails in You
That rugged cross was my cross, too
Still every breath You drew was Hallelujah.
Hallelujah!
Christmas Eve EVE….. It was on this day that my Daddy went to be with the Lord several years ago. He was such an integral part of my life that it still seems unreal that he’s gone, but I’m so happy for him because of his life now with Jesus. I always like to spend the day blessing others and staying busy. Today worked out perfectly as Princess decided {unknowingly} that we needed to deliver some goodies to our local police station and firehouse. She invited a friend over to bake, prepare, and deliver the goods.
Today was such a blessing. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much. These girls!
Lord, thank you for helping me divert my eyes from sorrow, and look to you for the joy that this season brings in the gift of your Son.
Hallelujah and Happy Christmas EVE Eve, Y’all!
