Ah, what’s not to love about heading out on a road trip to a secluded island?! If you’ve been wondering what it’s like to have an RV vacation on Jekyll Island, Georgia, then look no further. I have fabulous photography, video, and helpful tips to get you in the mood for packing your own trip – PRONTO! On this year’s RV vacation, we spent our time fellowshipping with friends, riding golf carts, being tourists, and eating lots of great Southern food. The weather was especially mild (still HUMID!) and we dodged the rainstorms that were originally forecast.[clickToTweet tweet=”Jekyll Island Campground & the Georgia Sea Turtle Center make a uniquely fun family vacation. #thehowtoguru #familyvacation #rvvacation #jekyllisland #georgiaseaturtlecenter” quote=”Jekyll Island Campground & the Georgia Sea Turtle Center make a uniquely fun family vacation.”]
Jekyll Island, Georgia is a photographer and videographer’s paradise. There are so many diverse places to see, experience and try to capture on film. We were ready for a break from the rat race of daily life back home and excited about this RV vacation! Don’t miss the video at the end.
Have you ever been to the island?

I’ve never been RVing, but this post makes it look like a lot of fun! The Georgia Sea Turtle center looks like a great destination.
How cool! Sea turtles have always fascinated me!
Me too, Amanda!!! To the point that my fam kind of make fun of me because I act like such a goober when I’m around them. lol
I like your video! The Jekyll Market has so much available in one spot, that is pretty awesome. You guys had so many golf carts lol
That Sea Turtle centre looks great! But I’d request being on vacation with you and your family so that I can partake in that epic potluck! LOL, my eyes are definitely bigger than my stomach.
Haha, Katherine! Yes, it’s definitely a blast with more food than we can handle. Come visit! 🙂
That’s it! This spot is on the list. Camping, sea turtles, and a beach named after my hubby?! I actually think we might do this this time next year. We have to stay close to Florida for a wedding in March, but want to do some fun trips without a few hours drive. I have always wanted to go to Jekyll, but had no idea there were little turtle friends so close. Added bonus!! Thank you, thank you!
Yay, Mel! Jekyll is so special. Call now for reservations – they book up quickly! 😉
