The blooming flowers, bright Spring colors, and Holy Week vibes mean more to me every single year. I love the anticipation that leads to Easter Sunday. Don’t you? Besides bringing you helpful Wife Life, recipe, and family travel posts, I’ve started a weekly vlog series to take you along with us each week into our crazy, Southern life. Don’t worry, I’ll share them here every so often so you can keep up …..

If you missed (last week’s) weekly vlog #1, you can watch that HERE.
Friends
I mention in this weekly vlog that God has brought to mind how blessed I am with such amazing friends, but how I stay busy and never make time to get together with them (whether near or far). I’m trying to change that whenever possible, so I was tickled to spend time with my dear friend, BrinaLynn on her front porch. FUN! I was so encouraged and being with such a like-minded Mama and fellow blogger put lots of pep in my step.
Unboxing
Princess and I had fun preparing for the weekend with beauty product overload and Easter planning. The beauty products we tried were mostly free because I received an awesome seasoning and beauty Voxbox with lots of awesome goodies. Awesome sauce.
Quick & Easy Dinner
In this weekly vlog and on IG last week, I shared that I was having a quick and easy dinner thanks to one of the goodies I received in my free goodie box: McCormicks Organics Taco Mix. Here’s what I shared on IG about this ridiculously simple meal:
Here’s the printable recipe card for it:
- 1 pound cooked ground meat
- 1 Cup Salsa
- 1 Cup Pasta Sauce
- 1 Cup Cooked Black Beans
- 1 Package McCormick Taco Mix
- Lots o’ Cheese
- Package of Round Tortillas
- Add cooked ground meat, equal parts salsa & pasta sauce, cooked black beans, & #mccormick Taco Seasoning to crock pot.
- Cook on high for 15 to 30 minutes
- Stir.
- Turn crockpot on low until you get ready to eat.
- Spread warm meat mixture on a round tortilla.
- Add cheese, roll up, and enjoy!

Sports
I sure do love watching my girl play sports these days. It’s awesome to watch her improve for confidence to grow in something she truly enjoys. We call her the “bunt queen” because she sure has mastered the bunt fake-out when she’s up to bat, but she loves being the 3rd base girl when in the outfield. So thankful!
Weekend
Friday nights lately have been filled with Hallmark Movies and Mysteries and popcorn! I had some cheap, frozen pizza that I pulled out of the freezer and just vegged out with the fam after a crazy week. Saturday resumed the “reno work” where we’re taking down a brick wall to make an open floor plan. Woot! I was so blessed by the Sunday service where we celebrated the risen Savior with amazing music and a jam-up sermon!
We were invited over to Easter lunch by such close family friends that we call them “Uncle Tommy and Aunt Beth” even though there’s no technical relation. I laughed so hard with them and their kids and grandkids that I felt as if I’d had an ab workout. Yeah, that’s much more fun than exercising. 😉
I hope you’ve enjoyed this time with us. Til next week …..
Do you love a weekly Vlog as much as I do?
I’d love to know your thoughts!

Thanks, Ashley. We have a good time, that’s for sure. Time is flying by and her time to be a ‘kid’ is fading quickly so I’m trying my best to not take it for granted. The vlogging is fun! Thanks for being here!
